Such an exciting day today; Maren got to take a ride on Thomas the Train (in case you are not as well acquainted with Thomas as we are, trust me: this is a big deal). She and Sofia had a fantastic morning. We started with a visit to the train-toy-tent, and then had a train ride, and then came back for some music and dancing.

happy 4th of July!

Today we went to our town's parade, which starts with a children's parade (apparently attended by every single kid within city limits!). Maren had a great time riding in her wagon, after helping decorate it this morning. True to American form, she enjoyed a snack while parading.

So far, she is unconvinced that fireworks are a good idea. "That big one is TOO YOUD," she said forcefully, after a big boom woke her from her nap. We'll see how it goes tonight...
