Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts. Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me... Anything can happen, child. Anything can be. - Shel Silverstein

chasing dad
Time for a few videos! Maren loves chasing dad around the house. Like this:
She's getting very good at telling us what the clock says (thanks to Grandpa Bill, she loves clocks!). And she can show us how big she is (although sometimes she resists doing these things on camera, so it takes awhile to catch it):
She spends a lot of time pointing at things and asking, "da?" or, "dis?" Ceiling fans and lights are particularly fascinating. She says "dada" regularly, but not "mama" so far. (Point at mom and ask, "who's that?" and she just smacks her lips together. "Mom" = "food source," apparently.) And she's still a great eater: she's a big fan of any foods she can eat herself, including pieces of sweet potato, blueberries, peas, bits of chicken, pieces of carrot, and pretty much any piece of lint she can find on the floor. We need to vacuum more often.
